Quix achieves SOC 2 Type II compliance
Quix has completed a SOC 2 Type II audit, carried out independently by Insight Assurance. It confirms that our security controls are well designed and that they operated effectively over the full audit period — not only on the day of the audit.
Why this matters to R&D teams
Your test and engineering data is some of the most sensitive IP your organisation owns. It holds the results of years of development work — how your products perform, where they fail and what you plan to build next. Before you put that data on a platform, your security and procurement teams need evidence that it will be handled properly.
SOC 2 gives them that evidence in a form they already recognise. It is an audit framework from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and it is one of the most widely requested security standards in vendor reviews.
What a Type II audit covers
There are two types of SOC 2 report:
- Type I assesses whether security controls are designed correctly at a single point in time.
- Type II also tests whether those controls operated effectively over a sustained period.
Type II is the more demanding of the two. The auditor does not just review our policies — they collect evidence that we followed them, day to day, across the whole audit period.
Our audit was carried out by Insight Assurance, an independent audit firm. We thank their team for a thorough and rigorous assessment.
What it means for Quix customers
- Faster security reviews. You can use our SOC 2 Type II report as independent evidence in your vendor assessment, instead of working through long questionnaires from scratch.
- The same standard across deployment models. Our security practices apply whether you use our fully managed service or run Quix in your own infrastructure.
- Alongside ISO 27001. SOC 2 Type II adds to our existing ISO 27001 accreditation.
Security is not a one-off project. We will continue to be audited so that our controls keep pace with how Quix and our customers' needs develop.
